Little things mean a lot. Little things like making sure your partner doesn’t have lipstick on their teeth, smoothing the collar of their shirt down, or even going to the car to get the comfy shoes because their feet hurt. All of these little things actually happened during Erica & Ajay’s engagement session this past Friday. And they reminded me of all the quiet ways people can show love to each other. The way Ajay worried about Erica’s lipstick getting ruined if they kissed. She reassured him that she brought the lipstick with, just for that reason! (Pro-tip for ya!) The little way Erica smoothed down Ajay’s collar and picked off the lint from that badass sport coat. She teased that she felt like her grandma, but I’d bet anything that Grandma does it out of love too! And as for these two? They radiate pure love, happiness, and contentment with their life and each other, in a way that only couples who have been together forever do. And I was lucky enough to witness it throughout our entire session.

Erica & Ajay aren’t originally from Wisconsin, but have decided to fully embrace it and make it their home. They chose the beautiful Devil’s Lake as a backdrop for their photos, as well as downtown Baraboo. They are particularly attached to The Square Tavern, so we got some awesome shots out front!
